Welcome to Northwest Overland: Your Portal to Adventure, Self-Reliance, and the Open Road
If you’ve ever looked out over a misty mountain range and thought, “I want to go there,” you’re in the right place.
Welcome to Northwest Overland, where rugged landscapes, self-reliant builds, and the freedom of the open road come together. Whether you’re traveling by Ford Econoline, fully built 4×4 rig, or DIY van conversion, this is your digital campfire — a hub for stories, gear, how-tos, and real-world overland knowledge tailored for life in the wild Pacific Northwest and beyond.
Who We Are
We’re a Family of builders, tinkerers, solo explorers, families, and weekend warriors who share one thing: a drive to explore the backroads less traveled.
Born from firsthand experience with off-grid vehicle setups, long-haul trips through Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and BC, and countless hours spent wrenching in garages, Northwest Overland isn’t just a brand — it’s a lifestyle built from the ground up.
What You’ll Find Here
✅ Van and 4×4 Builds — Real-world setups, walk-throughs, and gear reviews (including Ford Econoline, Sprinter, and trail rigs)
✅ DIY Resources — Wiring diagrams, heating installs, roof rack setups, and more — straight from the shop
✅ Trail Reports — Where to go, how to get there, and what to expect off the beaten path in the PNW
✅ Coffee & Camp Life — Because a good day on the trail starts with a hot cup and ends with a good story
✅ Product Spotlights — Tested gear, accessories, and parts we actually use
Why We Started This
Overlanding can be intimidating. There’s a lot of noise out there — expensive builds, endless gear lists, and more opinions than trail markers. We built Northwest Overland to be different: grounded, useful, honest, and focused on what matters — getting outside, staying safe, and building rigs that actually work for your lifestyle.
