Start enjoying those backcountry roads with the 3″ lift kit for the RAM ProMaster chassis which is engineered to get you more ground clearance. With a Dark Star Offroad 3″ lift on the front axle and a 2.25″ lift in the rear the van is more level since it is naturally lower in the front from the factory.
*If you are looking to have your RAM ProMaster 3″ Lift Kit installed locally (by OHV), select the 3″ Lift Kit + Install option. After booking, a Northwest Overland team member will reach out to confirm your appointment and details. The cost of the Lift Kit installed locally is $2,800 ($500 deposit, $2,300 due post service). If you are interested in Bilstein suspension upgrades, rear SumoSprings, or skid plates, we can add those on once your booking is scheduled. Does the Lift Kit Change the Ride Quality?
The van should drive relatively the same. After installation the van is a few inches taller so it is more prone to swaying which is why SumoSprings are recommended to help stiffen the suspension and depending on the van a rear sway bar can also help improve the ride. Also after the installation because adjustments are made to the motors subframe the motor mounts are adjusted, as a result you may notice a slight vibration in the steering wheel while stopped or while in reverse. This vibration is not causing any damage, you are just feeling the natural vibration through the motor mount because it is slightly tighter than before so it does not dampen the vibration as effectively.
